Discovery Day Caves, Fossils and Gem Panning
Discover the Wonders with Our Discovery Day Bundles at Stump Cross Caverns!
Included in this bundle is a morning cave visit (1 hour) Admission to our interactive fossil experience (1 hour) a second cave tour in UV light from 3pm onwards, along with a bag of crystal mining rough to pan for real gems in our outdoor sluice.
Upon booking you will be prompted to book your fossil dig time first, followed by your first cave visit time which will need to be at least 1 hour before the fossil dig starts. We also have a cafe on site for hot and cold drinks, light meals and snacks.
Morning Exploration
Begin your adventure with a luminous cave tour. Engage in one of our thrilling quizzes: Fossils, Fairies, or Dino Hunt. As you explore, hunt for clues hidden within the caves. Every child emerges victorious with a prize!
Interactive Fossil Dig
Step into our cinema room for a hands-on fossil session. Whether it's with our enchanting Cavewoman or a member of our knowledgeable cave team, delve deep into the world of caves and fossils. Unearth gems, fossils, and minerals, and take home a bag filled with your discoveries.
UV Cave Adventure (From 3pm)
Experience the caves in a new light—literally! Descend once more, this time illuminated by a UV torch. Witness the magic as different minerals glow and paint mesmerizing scenes. It's a caving experience like you've never seen before!
